Can you be sober when no one knows about your addiction?
Yes but sometimes it's easier to say my stomach could not take a drink right now than say I don't drink anymore. The ones close to you know your addiction unless they are addicted too

Yes, but I have learned that the addiction we thought was hidden is most often not. Once you are a bit more sure of yourself, try being more open about what is going on. The openness and honesty are very liberating

Thank you. I was opened to my family after a breakdown. My husband is supportive and says he will be there for me.
I always thought I was so covert with my drinking… turns out I was not. Everyone seemed to know I was an alcoholic except me. When I finally said it out loud I have not been met with anything but understanding
