Can you recommend some non 12 step recovery support groups? I'm still searching for what will work for me and really hoping to find it soon.

You can try looking into NAMI and meetup dot com

SMART Recovery is great. Not religious like the 12 step programs. There’s a HAMS group on Facebook for those who are looking into harm reduction and moderation.

Life Ring is a secular 12 step group but the meetings feel very different from AA. That’s an option if the whole higher part is what doesn’t agree.
Refuge recovery is not 12 step but is based on Buddhist principles.
