Until. It tries to kill you and you may be so deep in denial you won’t know until too late. Almost my story
True story. When I was going thru my b.s. my lawyer urged me , repeatedly , to quit drinking forever. And to pick up smoking weed. See his deal was that he almost didn't make it thru law school cuz of his drinking. So he quit... with the help of the cannabis. And he doesn't consider himself to have a problem with it and he's sober today , while still hittin the J. These days He got his own practice. he did pretty d*** good for himself I think.
If you can just drink “in moderation” without it eventually destroying your life, congrats, you’re probably a normie, I envy you in some ways. For many of us this is a mental trap that will destroy us, “maybe I can just use once” or “maybe I can cut back” are hard lessons for many people. Everyone is different. I sure can’t ever pick anything up again.
Things are just fine and as I said in the book I wrote it's used for other things I'm not getting high.
The obsession of alcoholics is to want to keep believing they can drink like normal people. In the big book somewhere
I know that years ago I was a wake and bake person. I made a pot of coffee, showered put my suit on and went to work. I worked for a major car rental company, eventually made vice president. I drank way less. But then started drinking more socially because she didn't like weed, had a ex boyfriend that got busted trafficking a large amount. So I gave up smoking for her.
But then drinking replaced that because it was accepted! LOL
Now 10 months sober, I don't want to go back to any mind altering substance. The clarity that I have experienced is a "high" I have never experienced.
I’m pro thc. For medicinal purposes! It would really help with my fibromyalgia pain and my mental health!!! I just don’t because I cannot afford the medical card for it. To see a Dr for it around here is at least $500.
Very slippery slope
I personally find that it really helps me with my cravings, especially in the first few days I’m off alcohol. I used to drink a ton and immediately smoke a bunch of weed on top of it.
When I’ve had no alcohol and then smoke, it’s much more of just a happy mindful feeling, not high as Jupiter and nodding off into oblivion like when I’d smoke and drink together.
One of my best friends was addicted to meth for several years. She is now clean, and chooses to drink every once in awhile in moderation. I would say maybe once a month? And it’s never been an issue for her. Everyone is different & everyone has the right to their own recovery!
I'm addicted to feeling good or more appropriately, not feeling mentally shïtty. Alcohol, drugs etc allow me to escape the mind fücking I have been through in my life, and basically "allowed" me to try and ignore the issues buried in me. Thc in my opinion is obviously part of that. Getting clean and sober has allowed me to actively do therapy and it is making a huge difference for me.
This is just my experience.
I'm coming up quick on 8 months sober I'm going for it... As far as alcohol goes but as for now I'm also coming off of pharmaceutical mood stabilizer and vaping mild cannaboids helps
I think it’s definitely a personal decision. I know people that have come out of hard drugs and have been able to use thc and stay off hard drugs. I use thc and cbd only for pain, I had a major back surgery and used opioid pain pills just for a couple days then a mix of thc and cbd. I do not use it recreationally. My opinion is that we as addicted people to be honest and if we are using anything to enable us to put on our “addiction mask” and not deal with life, then we should be asking ourselves some questions. It’s not for me recreationally because I feel it would eventually lead me to the bottle. If it works for you and doesn’t make life unmanageable, no judgment here.
Drugs, alcohol are all the same. Both provide escapes to a different mindset. It’s all or nothing.
I agree with this 100%
Go to any vape shop and ask about HHC
What’s HHC?
The answer to the question is simple. Look at Websters Dictionary definition:
a
:Not intoxicated
b
: abstaining from drinking alcohol or taking intoxicating drugs : refraining from the use of addictive substances
So, no. If your drinking or using drugs you are not sober.
I also have personal experience with Cannabis for mental health. It is not a replacement for phsych medications. In fact it blocks the effectiveness of those medications. There is 100 years of research showing it has a detrimental effect on people with preexisting mental health conditions.
It's best to Google it I know it bonds to receptors with a hydrogen atom as opposed to Tetra?? Relief lasts longer..
