Change is good

It’s kind of hard to stop drinking when all my friends do is pressure me. I’m moving back out of state in a few weeks and I’m sure that will help. I want to be closer to God. :latin_cross::pray:t3:

Brett this all seems like good realization and a healthy thought process. I will remind you, however, that the pressure will likely exist anywhere you go to some extent and we as addicts have to realize that just because someone else is ok with destroying theor body and watching you destroy yours. ultimately the choice is always ours and we need find that conviction within ourselves. Every time.

I really needed that. I struggle with alcohol. It’s my vice when all else fails. I can do good, when I’m happy. That seems ignorant, but it’s true.

When I quit years ago I stayed home and lost “friends”. They really aren’t. Especially if they are pressuring you. Now those same people respect me.
