Changed behaviors

Everyone makes mistakes- everyone has things they wish that they had not done.

I have always loved and respected people who start over and rebuild a new life from the ashes. The worst thing anyone can do is hold someone at their mistakes instead of allowing for growth and change.

In my growth, I have watched people judge and discard amazing people who only wanted to do and be better than the mistakes they had made.

I was sitting in a CenterPoint Church Utah one day for a youth meeting with Jadon. I was 7 months into this journey, and I wondered if people would be able to see “me” beyond the mistakes and choices I made while I was sick.

I was reminded of the story of the apostle Paul…. And how the very same people he had prosecuted, taxed, hurt and ruined, had to be the ones who forgave him and accepted that he had changed. He had to also forgive himself and not let his past define him.

It’s amazing how much people can change- and it may never be enough for some. But if that shoe was on the other foot- how fast they would want to be forgiven
