Okay I'm going to sound like the negative bad guy here but it only comes from years of experience. I would caution you to think real hard about going down the non-alcoholic beer road.
I've known several cases of people who really thought that they had won over by drinking non-alcoholic beer. One day when they were in the right frame of mind they simply got bored with it and switched back to the real thing.
Beer is an acquired taste. I have not known any alcoholics after years of being sober who said that they liked the taste of non-alcoholic beer. There are many options out there without having to drink non-alcoholic beer. And there really are many ways to have fun out there without being around people that have chose not to give it up.
I'm also not ashamed to sit around drinking a soda pop or whatever while everyone else around me is drinking an alcoholic beverage. Drinking non-alcoholic beverages around people who are drinking alcohol gets really bored after a while. We're just not seeing through the same lenses.
That's all I'll say for now. And just remember, if you hang around a barbershop long enough you're going to get a haircut!
