If any of yall have baby moms or baby daddys you know the struggle of co-parenting. Sometimes the person that may drive you to drink, is the person you have to interact with most. The key to my success in that aspect is not reacting to the bs she texts me. I took the power of her words and threw them in the trash. Take back your power.
Good advice. My Husband’s ex wife always drove me to drink
.
It's rough, I had to move away from her to get sober. It was really hard being away from my son, but me getting sober is worth it so I can be the best role model for him
Nobody drives us to drink. We can't change people's behaviors but we have complete choice in how we react to them. If they are making you miserable or jeopardizing the safety and welfare of your kids, one of you needs to move out. If kids stay with you, courts would probably order the father to move out.
I also understand the insanity of two people living together who both have drinking problems. I moved in with a woman that I met in Alcoholics Anonymous many many years ago oh. She had two kids. I had two kids. And together we created another. They were six of the most miserable years of my life. My life got to be the way it did because of decisions I made that were based on self.
