I tried my hand at making cold brew coffee. It was terrible. Any pointers?

I love cold brew coffee. But I don’t drink it anymore because I can’t drink caffeine but are you drinking it black? I use to add chocalte oat milk to it and it was awesome.
Honestly don't like cold brew, but I had a big event and needed about a gallon. I wound up buying some since what I made was weak
How did you make it?
Gallon of water and coffee. Sat in fridge all night
How much coffee to water? How fine/course of a grind? You need a lot of coffee to make it strong.
I used about 8 tbs to the gallon. It was as weak as a good tea. Medium grind.
Oh yeah you need much much more than that for cold brew.
It needs to steep for 24 hours
