Happy Sunday family! Got up at 7am to hit the gym. Hitting a meeting then going to my mom’s to make a big family dinner for my really crazy family. Praying nobody starts any dumb sh*t and if they do, praying for the strength to stfu and keep my cool

Good morning, I've been up since 5am. I'm not Ubering to the gym so I walked the neighborhood. My daughter is flying in next weekend so my crazy family will get together.

What are you making? I miss big crazy family dinners. That tradition seems to have been largely lost these days.
Great plan! What’s for dinner? I’m starting the grill now for dinner too.
A tray of lamb, pork ribs, chicken kabobs, rice, humus, bunch of sides, something for the kids and whatever the boss (my super sweet mom) wants to serve. It’s my sister’s birthday dinner. At my mom’s house, I’m just an assistant. Whatever she wants to do, is what happens. I just try to be her right hand. The day goes a lot smoother that way. Less stuff for me to react to. Picture a Sunday at Tony Sopranos. I hope nobody brings up conversations about the family business, the coronavirus, or any elections. What happened to talking about your day or what you learned in school today? If people kept dinner simple, it wouldn’t be lost.

Work, religion and politics can ruin a good time in a hurry. I put corona under the politics category these days.
The feast sounds incredible. Almost makes me want to cook tonight. Except my guests are as yet unappreciative of anything deviating too far from nuggets and tots.
