This time 4 years ago I was given a present of 20 grand bail and a 6x8 cell. Was looking at least a 5 to 10 upstate. Made a deal with God. Took a pandemic to save me. Sticking to the deal. Was a bottom I’ve never experienced before. And I’ve had a few of those. Been at recovery since 84’ with long periods of sobriety mixed in. And through it all has always been me and my God butting heads. This time, I’ve thrown in the towel. Only one will, and it ain’t mine. Mine gets me in trouble. So happy jolly jolly all you who want this new life. One day is all that matters.
