Congratulations
Thank you
it was hard and I hope it gets easier but I need to make some serious changes to my life or I won’t make it.
As a former sponsor of mine once put it, "AA is a very simple program, all you have to do is change everything about yourself."
As you continue down this path, some parts do get easier but life will still happen and there wi be challenges. That's why we can't do this on your own. I don't keep me sober, we do. So rely on your "we" when things are tough and support others when they are struggling. That is how we all get through.
I struggle with mental illness as well so I need to find the right medication too. There’s only so much I can change on my own the rest I have to learn to cope with.
Been there too, brother. You are not alone.
I was about to send you a friend request and you beat me to it lol. So you’re in Bmore MD huh? I’m in York PA lol. Use to go to bmore all the time, not for good reasons of course.
Well, let's see if we can find some good reasons for you to come back to Charm City!
Sounds good, and if you’re ever in York I can show you around, I know some good meetings in the area.
Congratulations Brandon!

Great job!
I believe every day sober is just as important as the first or the next because for someone like me each day I don’t use is a miracle. Most I’ve ever gotten willingly without mat’s is 2-3 months, and almost 2 years with mat’s. I’m doing it this time without them and it’s hard. So each day is a milestone for me personally.
This is great keep it going
Congratulations
Today marks 70days for me:raised_hands:t3:
That’s awesome, let’s keep going
I’m on day 19
Hi! Congratulations! If you could share any of the specifics on what was hard to make it 30 days, and what you did to deal with those things
Ack! I sent to soon! Anyway to finish my thought. Any thoughts on getting through the hard parts of the first 30 days would be much appreciated
Congrats
Praying, talking to my sober support people and sponsor, and I write poetry which has been a great outlet for me. If you ever want to check some of my poems out it’s Raven L Poetry on Facebook. I will tell you they get pretty dark but with addiction and mental illness both stacked against me I gotta write what comes to me.
