6 days sober today from the booze and pot. Went 4 years without alcohol but could never kick the pot. I know now where my lack of confidence comes from. Weed is a drug period. I’m doing great, still have my job. But I relapsed 6 months ago. I really want this.

Congrats on 6 days! I’m also 6 days sober from alcohol& weed. My bigger vice is alcohol. We got this

This is great Rob! You can do it! Just make a choice today not to drink or smoke. Tomorrow you can start over again and make that same choice. I quit it all at once. For me, it was necessary to to so. I’ve done it with a lot of help. I go to AA meetings, I have a sponsor, I am working the steps, I go to therapy, I go to marriage counseling, I listen to recovery podcasts, read recovery books, meditate, I know that I don’t rule the world and that there is a higher power or powers in this world greater than me, I help other alcoholics and addicts…all of this has contributed to a huge change in my life. You don’t have to all of this to stay sober, but I suggest you find some sort of recovery program that you can practice every day (mindfulness), and work on finding out what makes you tick, and your spirituality. I believe that’s your best bet to find long term quality sobriety
