Depends on your location. Where I live, AA is the only option. Thankfully because of that its a laid back AA/NA mix and everyone is cool with that. In a larger metro you can find other support groups. But IMO you need support.

I’m realizing I could use a support group, I’m just not a fan of AA. I think their views do not align with the current science (alcoholic is not a thing, anyone and everyone can become alcohol dependent, etc)
Good question. AA is convenient but not a cure all and not for everyone.
