Congratulations on where you're at. You got this.
Tips to stay clean. Shower and shave on a regular basis. You'll never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Don't do the stuff that brought you here in the first place.
Keep your side of the street clean.
Treat others in the same manner as you'd want to be treated....in other words don't play them.
You being clean is your priority. Don't screw it up. Just remember the front seat of the cop car is a lot more comfortable than the back seat.
Work the next indicated step.
Obtain a sponsor and work the steps.
Works with others. Don't 13th step anyone.

You can do this my friend.

We are here for you and want to see you succeed.

Steve, great questions! To stay clean and motivated, I make sobriety my number one priority over finance, romance and even family. Because if I’m clean & sober I can have all of the above and way more.
1st year I went to in person early morning meetings and nightly meetings. Got sponsors and did the 12 steps multiple times. Did lots of service work with H&I, which was huge to keep me grateful for my sobriety. I made sober friends, did things with sober friends.
Building your new life should be an adventure and fun! Build your new life so well that you truly love it. Getting wasted will be like volunteering to go to prison🤪
I sponsor if interested. Or if you just want to talk I’m here.

Great beginning. My suggestions get a group of sober friends, AA meetings, recovery counseling, read. When I left rehab they had an entire recovery team set up for me. Celebrated 4 years with all their help. You need support from everywhere. Don’t try it alone. 1st time I did, I was back out in 2 months.

If you’re struggle is with alcohol then I urge you to look up Annie Grace. I read her 2 books. The 1st is called This Naked Mind &!her 2nd book is called The Alcohol Experiment. Both of these books are very enlightening!!! She o-wrote a 3rd book about nicotine for people wanting to quit smoking. Also wrote something about alcohol to explain to kids called Buzz to Buzzkill or something like that? I downloaded her app for free on my phone called This Naked Mind Companion App. She’s great & she has a podcast too! She also answers reader’s questions for free on YouTube. It’s also about compassion & forgiving yourself. Good luck & please show yourself a little grace :purple_heart:

Sorry for all the typos … meant to say co-wrote

Exercise there's videos on YouTube that don't require any equipment or find a gym walking through the woods. Find a daily routine that's health based also books read anything. Keep your hands busy and have snacks and soda. Keep on keeping on you got this :muscle:

Here's what my sponsor during rehab told me when I arrived home 30 days sober. Stock your fridge, it's OK to smoke cigs n eat sugar now. Go to at least 1 mtg a day in person or zoom and find a local female sponsor asap. Use those tools I picked up and keep my boundaries. Put your sobriety/HP above all!

60 days is huge, well done! Stay connected here, add friends, and don’t hesitate to reach out the moment you feel tempted. Building a support network is one of the best ways to keep moving forward. :raised_hands:
