Controversial Opinion?

"What it makes of you completing the 12 steps, is greater than completing the steps"

While reading "Twelve Pillars" the forth pillar suggest writing your goals down, and next working towards them. Then the book states "the major reason for setting a goal is for what it makes of you to accomplish it." So I thought of AA and applied it, and created the quote above.

Do you all agree? Disagree? How does it make you feel?

Definitely worth working towards what the twelve steps can help you become rather than just doing or rushing the steps to just complete them is how I read the quote. I like it.
