until I step foot back on campus to begin my new role: Batterers Intervention and Peer Recovery Specialist! Beyond grateful and excited! I am eagerly awaiting to hit the ground running!
I am so blessed and grateful for Ms Anne. Yesterday she was wanting to go get meats from the grocery store. I needed scrubs for my new weekend position I start next weekend. So we traveled to a city next to us because we do not have a grocery store other than walmart and we are not super satisfied with the meat department. So we traveled. Along the way we share stories and updates of our lives. I shared how awesome I am still feeling since my acupuncture treatment. She shared her recent doctor's appointment details. Then I hear what sounds like church bells. Loudly playing bells. At the intersection, I am looking all around to locate the church. 938 a.m. Why? Bells? What!?? HER phone alert for emails! Lol! She said the doctor told her to use that ringtone because OF the tone. It is a tone she can hear without her hearing aids. You know, the hearing aids she swears do her no good. She says she hears just fine. I dare not tell her otherwise. I talk loudly naturally and even I have to push a little harder from the diaphragm to be heard. Love her!! As we were having lunch she brings up that another one of her friends has passed away. I stated my condolences. She proceeds to state that when she gets on FB now, it is now filled with notices for celebrations of life. I am so grateful for her. She has been my pseudo mother since I moved here and I cherish her every day.
Lil Man and Lucy are making their way along life's trails quite quietly for the past 24. He is still not fond of her existence, but at least he is quiet about it more than ever. Thanks to PB Cookies and the time afforded to shape his behaviors to be more accepting of her. He acts the same way with Suzy. Ms Anne has a 7 month old sausage dog and he is too funny trying to be macho around her.
I am grateful to be donating my art supplies and time to our Art in the Park this week. Since I have not started nor completed any art projects other than wreaths in over a year, I am wanting to donate my paints and brushes. I do not want them to continue to sit and go bad. I hope they get used at our Mindfulness event this week.
I am grateful for Lossid. I appreciate the supports and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to write my daily gratitudes. This is such a great way to start my day and I am grateful for those who reach out with their support. I am grateful for the Sober Tracker amd for the Soner Tip of the Day. Loosid ROCKS!
I am grateful today for being sober. Staying sober and strong through one more day and weekend.
