I know there are many trains of thought on how to stay sober but I honestly needed something to replace when I got those cravings. Like non alcoholic wines, or aperitifs. Some good ones out there.

Tell yourself you’ll use tomorrow and tomorrow tell yourself you’ll use the next day etc etc
I don’t recommend this line of thinking because it still renders you dependent on living in another time other than the present. It leaves you focused on tomorrow, or what happens if the person finally gives in? You’re better off saying “just for today”. I totally get what you’re saying, because I tried that, and it left much to be desired in terms of serenity.
