Suzy, you’re not alone. Sleep can be elusive. But don’t worry, it’s just our addict/ego minds trying to get us to relapse. It will pass! A deeper inner peace and sleep will be yours.
Reading the big blue book of AA really helps! I’ve heard it called the big blue sleeping pill🫠. I would read it every night laying in bed. It really works

Opiates

Most obsessive thoughts will pass in less than 15 minutes. Just hold on. I was on opiates for decades, back when heroin was real and im almost 2 years sober and off of all maintenance (suboxone/methadone) this whole time. It takes rigorous recovery. Rigorous honesty. You can absolutely do it. Go to a meeting, raise your hand, ask for women's numbers. Just get to bed clean, thats all you have to do today.

Have you tried drinking Chamomile or peppermint tea before bed? Or turn off phone etc an hour before bedyyyyy, taking a warm shower or bath to relax, listening to calming music or a sleep meditation, and keeping the room dark and cool can all help. Time comes as your body heals. Keep going

There are some decent sleep and meditation apps.
