Curious… did sobriety make your circle smaller, stronger, or both?

I drove everyone away with my drinking so for the first time in a long time I have a circle again

I was a bartender for 15 years; I had hundreds of "friends". Unfortunately, now that I'm sober, I have zero friends.

Mine went from having a bunch to none at all. I mean we have family but if they’ve never been through addiction then it’s not the same as having someone who has.

My, “Bar Fly” friends circle is gone. I replaced them with a sober friends circle, life is much more simple

Both.. My "friends" moved on when I stopped hosting my "
day off parties". Yet it became stronger with people I could actually relate to.

Great post/question! I lost all friends. The loneliness It what has caused me to relapse in the past. I feel and hear all of what you all are saying.
