There is a false misconception that the Christian life can be very boring and bland, this cannot be further from the truth. The Bible let's us know that those fear the Lord and follow his ways are joyful. Jesus came that we may have a joyful existence. Being joyful does not mean absence of trials. It is possible to have joy inspite of your circumstances.
"How joyful are those who fear the Lord, all who follow his ways. You will enjoy the fruit of your labour, how joyful and prosperous you will be"

Yes joy in the Lord is far greater than anything this world can contain.
