Fears: New job. Fearing that I’ll fail before I even start.
Resentments: Running out of money to pay for things
Gratitudes: will power.
Last night, my genitalia was itching really bad - so bad that I had to get practically bottomless and really go at it on scratching.
During the process, the urge to act out was at its strongest. To be all honest, it had just about made the decision to break sobriety until I heard my wife in the other room. That backed my attempt off.
What’s bad: the fact that I was so close to doing away with my sobriety - knowing the mental fallout I’d face within myself, and the likely pulls to act out even moreso, afterwards.
What’s good: a win is a win. Some victories come through sheer courage, faith, and “white knuckling.” Others come by way of missed opportunities.
I’m taking this as a win, regardless of how it came about.
