Daily prayer that I found very relatable

Heavenly Father,
I come to You today without any masks or pretenses. I’m tired of trying to clean up the outside while struggling on the inside, and I’m tired of trying to change in my own strength. You know the cycles I’ve been stuck in, and You know the behaviors I’m not proud of.
Lord, even as I ask for Your help right now, there is a part of me that is afraid I will fall back into those same old patterns. I confess that even in my prayers, I sometimes doubt my own ability to stay true. So I ask You to meet me right there—come into the hidden places, the doubts, and the parts of me that are still tempted to compromise. Search me, O God, and know my heart. Go into the cracks, the deep places, and the motives I don't even fully understand myself.
Jesus, You asked the man at the pool, "Do you want to be made well?" I ask myself that same question today. Part of me is scared of what it takes to change, and part of me clings to what is familiar, even when it’s destructive. But I am asking You to give me the willingness to be healed. Help me stop hiding behind the old hurts and the feeling that I am fundamentally broken or unseen.
Where I have spent my life searching for approval—just wanting someone to look at me and be pleased—remind me that my identity and worth are already secure in You. I surrender the old story that served to protect me in the past, and I ask You to write a new one.
I give You the broken parts, the weak parts, and the parts I cannot fix on my own. Come into the deep well of who I am, break down the walls, and heal me from the inside out. Give me the grace to pick up my cross daily, to surrender my will to Yours, and to step into the life and freedom You have for me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
