Daily Reflection – The Golden Key
When stress enters my day, I’m reminded how quickly my focus can shift from trust to fear. The Golden Key teaches me that what I give my attention to will shape my experience. In sobriety, I no longer have the option to escape stress through old behaviors, so I’m invited to grow instead.
Today, I’m learning that stress often comes from trying to manage life on my own terms. When I turn my thoughts toward God, gratitude, and right action, the weight begins to lift. I may not be able to change my circumstances, but I can change where I place my focus.
The Golden Key in recovery is simple but powerful: stop feeding the problem and start trusting the solution. When I pause, pray, and reach out to another alcoholic, I allow God to do for me what I cannot do for myself.
Just for today, I will practice using the Golden Key by staying present, seeking spiritual guidance, and remembering that sobriety is maintained not by controlling life, but by trusting it—one day at a time.
