Yeah I think actively seeking and forcing the relationship is where I’ve fallen short lately as well. Definitely going to be working on some patience, understanding, and tolerance in the days ahead
I went to college in Canton NY and was a freshman when you got sober. I wonder if our paths crossed.
It is not easy. The only boyfriend I had who was sober was in college and back then I wasn’t… I was a full blown alcoholic. Now, I have 5 yrs of sobriety and finding someone sober and in recovery is a challenge.

I'm 59 YO & was in an off and on relationship with another alcoholic after becoming a widow. I left him & got sober. That was five years ago. I'm on a couple dating apps and have no problem putting it right out there that I'm a recovering alcoholic. It has to be understood that my sobriety is my priority. If it isn't it's not worth it.
