I’m grateful that I’ve decided to take back my life. Day 1.
HeII yeah, Brianna.
You can do this.
Booyah!
Here comes my typical shpiel...
If withdrawals are an issue , which you will soon find out, then I recommend medical detox highly. Not sure what you are quitting but if it's alcohol or benzos a medical detox is key and so much safer. They give you meds to counter the particular withdrawals for about 4 to 5 days while monitoring your vitals, etc. I couldn't sleep without booze, and medical detox was a sweet sweet release. If you are good to detox yourself, try to at least stay active on here and maybe check out some zoom meetings online (I'm being realistic that you aren't wanting to go anywhere in person while detoxing). After detox, you should absolutely do a rehab program to solidify your sobriety. I have done this detox to sober journey 4 times (jail, hospital twic) and finally doing it the right way this time, which was medical detox followed by 30 day rehab. Soooooooooo much better this time.
Good luck. Any questions feel free to ask.
You got this !

Awesome. I really like that title. Very true. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other with your head held high.
Way to go, everyday is anew day towards a wonderful journey. One day at a time. Get to a meeting, get numbers, find a sponsor, work the steps. Be proud of yourself! That’s a big step. Congratulations
I’m right there with you. We CAN do this together.
