Im struggling to get past the 7 day mark. I think when the weekend kicks in and Ive got nothing to do I turn to a drink. Im not going overboard like 2 glasses of wine but I wake up feeling like terrible. Today I cant even get out of bed, actually I can get out I just dont want to. I’ve tried several meetings online cant find any I really connect with. Does anyone use anything other then AA
Just try getting back on that wagon! You can do this. We are here to help!
Brother try listening to Tony even or his son Jonathan evens the were instrumental in my first couple of years . Ill make u a promise that I was made if u follow the word ur life will change give it an honest chance
I am going to try some female focused, female led, private 'sobriety counselors'. They feels less rigid and a better fit for me.
Maybe find something positive to do
Also not a Fan of the AA program.. looking around for other options.
SMART Recovery, its science focused. DBT and CBT therapy. I found these be really helpful.
@376489 Welcome back for starters. If you're getting bored on the weekends come hang out with us as we do some type of activity.
We are not a glum lot.
You keep showing up for yourself, and that’s what matters! A few programs that I have found helpful are; Recovery Dharma (based on Buddhist principles), Recovery 2.0 and Women For Sobriety.
Thanks everyone after a rough sleep I’m ready for day 2 and the rest of my life have a great day everyone

I go to the sweat lodge, and that seems to help me.
AA is the best thing for me. Celebrate Recovery is a faith based program that's pretty popular. I think wherever you go that meeting in person will be more effective
I like the Celebrate Recovery program because it's faith based on the 12 steps of AA
I really enjoyed treatment I know not everyone needs it but the time out from my everyday really help change my perspective
I go to Celebrate Recovery meetings
Keep going, sobriety is worth it
