I'm not sure why I experimented with drinking again, but I wish I hadn't. I'm starting over today on my sober journey. I'm really looking forward to being sober continuously and being good to myself and others.
Been there. Tried and failed miserably. It took me 3 months to stop. Glad you are back it right away.
Thank you.
I had to be real with myself. I relapsed because I did not want to admit to myself that I am an alcoholic. I am now back on day two and starting the steps again. It is hard to admit that some dang liquid has that much influence over your life. Alcohol is very tricky and when it is romanticized by TV, radio and everywhere you go, it is hard to admit defeat. I want to be a part of the “no matter what” club. I won’t drink no matter what. Just be honest with yourself and take it one day at a time
Thank you.
You're not alone on having another "day one". Don't beat yourself up, just start fresh and be kind to yourself. You can do it!
Just keep counting the days and hopefully you won’t be counting by days but rather months and years down the road
Welcome back! As others said don't be too hard on yourself and be proud of yourself for making the choice to start on your sober journey again. As alcoholics that can be incredibly difficult but the blessings of a sober life make it so with it!
Thanks everyone. Looking forward to getting back to a normal sleep cycle, and feeling good again. Glad to be here.
