I am grateful that I’m still alive and that I did not use my drug of choice… I struggled to stay sober and used a substitute but I still feel like I need to get a hold of complete sobriety.

I'm on day one too. I want to reach over and scrap the neck of the pipe but I ain't got me a lighter. So I lay here at this hour to weak to do anything but meditate

I can totally relate to you both. I just got out of a 7 day detox and and a couple drinks the day I got home and I only have a couple days clean and sober. I’m going to a drug and alcohol counseling session this morning and I signed up for IOP but I think what will help me most is seeking a deeper relationship and love with my higher power the Lord Jesus Christ.
