I ate the eff out of Taco Bell during the first month of sobriety. It gave me the dopamine hit I needed when I had cravings. Not saying it was the perfect answer but it got me past some tough spots for a bit.
Get to a meeting, and get a bag of gummy bears:+1:
Jesus helped me renew my mind and change the way I think! It takes time but the program I was in offered that time and helped with teaching me, all I had to do was commit! Praying for you! You got this!
Ice cream and pizza for me
You can do this lyzzie try not to be so hard on yourself
addiction tough.
You ain't dead yet so why give up now
My first couple days were sleep. Lots of water. Make myself eat. More sleep then repeat. And AA is a simple program. That doesn't mean it's easy though. U gotta really get real with yourself & lay everything out there. AA is not for everyone I know this. But if it is for u it can help. I finally gave it a solid try & I've seen changes in my thinking
No
Many first days here. Lyzzie! Close to my 90 days this time so I'm fresh off the day 1 again boat.
I was angry! Didn't want anyone telling me when or how I was gonna stop my drinking and when I finally gave up fighting , (especially myself), it got easier. That and gummies were my go to. And starting to like myself again! Eat the thing that gives you pleasure because that's what our addicted minds love
Be it ice cream, gummies or Tacos
whatever. Also stock up on lots of drinks flavored waters, tea, soda I love club soda with a little fresh lime or lemon and ice. Whatever makes you feel like you are doing something good and special.
You are! Good luck and AA or whatever alternative support and help you can find. Don't do it alone!!

I never blacked out from too much comfort food. You gotta do what you can to kick the habit and food isn’t evil. It has ways of actually nourishing you and once you get over the first few weeks you’ll start to see that. I learned to cook during my first few months and that was therapeutic and a good way to spend time!
what’re you using? im assuming dope cos of the five day mention. day 1-2 are bad, 3 is absolute h*ll. 4/5 it starts to get better. im on day 15. good luck honey.
But not the ones on Amazon. They’ll give you the shits like never before

Go Luna:ok_hand:

Thank you so much for sharing Lyzzie. It’s hard at first be kind to yourself and know we are in it together just take it hour by hour for today. You are so worth it!!

A hugely important influence on my mental health and struggle with addiction was surprisingly a podcast. It’s called The BlindBoy podcast. He gave me coping mechanisms to help in my day to day. He’s an Irish guy who is actually very funny as well, don’t be put off my his humor, he’s a professional with an MA. I hope this helps a little
