Oh no. What happened?
We drink again because we believe the big lie; that this time everything will be okay. But it never is, is it?
We have to learn to play the scene forward. What happens if you drink? You might feel good for a while but sooner or later you're going to end up right back where you are right now with more shame to carry around, knowing you accomplished absolutely nothing.
That's how alcoholism works.
It feeds us lies.
