DAY 1 - GROUND ZERO
I’m at this juncture in my recovery I’m pretty sure because life and circumstances that I have to cope with have always obstructEd, disturbED , disappointEd, disheartenEd, distancEd and often caused despair and disillusionment. So I truly believed that the only control that I’d have would be derived out of using.,. I could make myself, happy, joyful , virile and even accepted (in lesser circles). Today I’ve had this stunning internal revelation that made me realize that all the friends who hadnt faded to the background or purposely stepped away were overtly ejected from my life. I have been so steadfast and bitter that my betters had no value. I’m tired of using and I’m tired of leaving nothing worthwhile to extend to those few that continue to love me without ceasing and through there own battles. TODAY IM HERE TO STAY IN RECOVERY. Perhaps on a tomorrow one of you will introduce me to yourself and help me to understand that I belong and I’m wanted. I’ve learned that I’ve earned Ed (Education Doctorates) in all the aforementioned experiences so I no longer have to stare at the pain when I can benefit from the value of lessons gleaned. :sparkles::dizzy::star2::sunny:

Chris, if you want to stay sober I can assure you are very much wanted here. None of us stays sober alone.

In here, no one is your better and no one is less than you. We are all addicts just trying to live the next 24 hours without picking up a drink or a drug. At the end of the day, it is that simple.
