Grateful I went to a meeting 4 hours out of rehab, grateful I called a friend on the way home just to insure I made no stops, super grateful I went to bed sober and CONTENT in that sobriety and not anxious or wanting!
Hit those meetings. Get plugged in.
Yep keep the recovery process going. One of the most vulnerable times for a recovering alcoholic is the first few months out of rehab. We like to think we're all better now, I know I did. When were out our own is the time we're truly tested. Keep going, recover from this illness.
Keep going, Lora!
I am inspired by you and your share!
Thanks I'm on day 1 at home and I do intensive outpatient tonight and I've spent all day kind of planning a routine like I had in rehab. They emphasized routine as a healthy coping skill for recovery - that and I'm cleaning up the literal wreckage in my room of my last drunk LOL hope you're doing awesome!!
Good stuff and welcome home
Thank you, Lora!
Sounds like you have a plan ( smart )!
Rooting for you. I am heading to see my therapist so I will check in with y’all later.
You have a great attitude and approach, Lora!
Will check in tonight to see how today went. Go you!

—oh—and Lora, I s t i l l have wine bottles which I never recycled.
There is a room I do not go into; extremely cluttered, my doing…I have to once and for all tackle that. I am convinced that this particular room is a true trigger. Point being : yes, wreckage clearance-comprehending!
Good job completing Treatment Lora!! Stay on it
I know some people that I went to rehab with thought when they finish they “graduated” and stopped working a program and relapsed. It helped me tremendously to do the IOP program through a local hospital. I continued with NA/AA as much as possible and simply stayed connected to others addicts..
Others have mentioned meetings. I'll echo them.
Kudos to you. You are doing this!
Welcome to freedom. I was so glad to get back to life once I got out. I laid down some ground rules quickly with family and friends.
Good work stay the course
