Day 1 starting again

Trying to get sober once again... I'm shamed out for falling off when I had about 140 days sober.

The shame you’re feeling right now is actually evidence of how much you want this, because people who don’t care don’t hurt like that after, so let it tell you that and nothing else. What matters now is what the relapse can teach you, look at where it started, the person, place, mindset, even something as small as what you were watching or who you were around when the craving first showed up, because knowing your when is how you catch it earlier next time. And when it comes again, pick up the phone, get to a meeting, I know it sounds cliché but those tools work, they’ve been working for people for decades, and the first step is always ours to take. I spent over 20 years in and out of this and relapsed more times than I could count, and every single time my brain told me I couldn’t do it so why even try, and that voice was lying to me the same way it lies to others. The days you built aren’t erased, they’re proof you CAN do it, because you already did. ROOTING FOR YOU
