When we stop suppressing our feelings with alcohol we actually start to feel again.
This can be overwhelming if we don't know what to do with those feelings. I just came back from an AA meeting tonight. We were reading from the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions book. Step 7.
What a great meeting and what a great book. Added another phone number to my contact list too.
Congratulations on your double digit sober time. I hope you have some kind of a recovery program in place that has a strong history of actually working.
Been sober almost 9 years and I need to call people every week. I also need/want to go to AA meetings to share my experience strength and hope and also to remind me that the circus is still in town.
