Day 13 not feeling too bad, restless but it will pass in time, very anxious….today is my vivitrol injection, anyone have experience? Is 13 days enough?

No experience with the injection but I take the naltrexone pill and started it just a couple days after quitting drinking. It has been great for me as far as reducing cravings and I’m 18 days in now. Keep it up!!
If it’s for alcohol, and your past withdrawal 13 days should be enough. If it’s for opiates you should have a clean drug test so you don’t risk going into precipitative withdrawal. I have the Vivatrol shot and it definitely helps me with random urges and cravings but I know for some it doesn’t. However still be mindful of triggers to drink or use, I had no side effects other than the area of the injection was sore for a few days but try to relax as best you can when receiving it to avoid that. Thank you very much, I’ve taken it before I dunno how I always forget these things I’m scheduled to get it Tuesday after I do my hepatic panel Monday, I just want some insurance, you know? If I do crave at least I know “what good would that do I won’t feel it, ha!” So jokes on you addiction! Lol
