Day 14 no booze day 2 no nicotine. So thankful. I have some close friends visiting next month. They drink I don’t I live in downtown San Diego they will want to drink. My plan is to be the DD. It’s actually good practice for the holiday season with my wife and my family because they drink a lot. I secretly hope they decide not to come visit. It’s hard to not isolate yourself. Because we can’t hide from booze it’s imbedded in society

It really is a blessing. You are finally doing what you know you are supposed to be doing. Non of that deep down you know you need to change.

I never had a problem socializing. It was my alone time I had a bigger problem with. When I finally admitted to myself I had a problem. I found it easy to admit it to my friends and family. They understood. Anyone else I just said I don't drink. I didn't have a problem and if they did honestly I didn't care. It is my life.
