Your body still needs to recover from the damage is has been through.. you will get past the uncomforting and low energy levels. Keep having hope!!

It literally took me nine months, and when it did it was like someone had flipped a switch.

It took me months… I started taking multivitamins, staying hydrated. I also made and kept a schedule. Go to bed at the same time, wake up at the same time. It does get better.

Does working out and running speed up the process at all?

Your supposed to be tired, that is your brains response to re booting after the lose of alcohol that it was used to living with. My suggestion is rest and let your brain heal. It took me several months. Omaga 3 fish oil tablets help in brain healing during this process.

Everyone is different, could be as quick as tomorrow! Or it could take longer... just give your body some love, it's carried you through all your bull$hit!! Be patient as it gets you back on your feet. Don't forget your water, maybe some vitamins and if you're feeling super adventurous then some leafy greens. Someone mentioned omega 3s and also- we don't absorb zinc when we're drinking so that's a good one to start as well

If all else fails, sour candy

It's totally 100% mind thing

100% just my mind telling me I'm tires?

I found that energy comes back gradually but emotions come back abruptly. Took me about a month of sobriety to work up the energy to lightly work out. Also, coffee my friend . But seriously , watch out for some emotions that come out of nowhere after being numbed for however long you've used. Those were more of an issue for me than low energy. Good luck harnessing those and hopefully converting them to energy :+1:

Just make the right decision

@terry156929 Wow! I thought it was ridiculous that no was more tired than usual after only 17 days of being sober. Months?! Scared

Congrats on day 12! I felt the same way after 17 days. Don’t give up like I have. I’m trying to start my sobriety over

@brian130666 Thanks for the tip! I wonder if Prevagin will help. I’m currently spiraling, but when I try sober again, I’ll need all the weapons available

I’m 29 days and just started feeling a little normal

I agree

Not saying that it’ll take you that long; just that it’s true in that in it can take the alcoholic brain a long time to heal. It doesn’t come back all a once. I still notice new things randomly, even after a year.
Keep it up.

It took me maybe a few days? But I’m 26 and probably bounce back fast because I’m younger.
