Great comment!
Thank you John. I appreciate you! Gonna keep pushing forward :)!
Congratulations
I appreciate you. I’m gonna look into some outside help. Best of wishes to you.
I feel as though the weed was keeping my side tract from other substance, but now that its gone, it’s like getting sober again from the things I was sober from before. If that makes sense. I appreciate your advice !
I really appreciate the advice! Gonna take it to heart. Congrats on over 8 years. I plan to get there one day at a time. Best of wishes to you.
Thanks for sharing, I appreciate you. I also agree that there may be no such thing as “normal” anymore. But I do agree that I’d rather not feel “normal” than using! Rather be sober wanting to use, than be using and want to be sober !
Best way someone put it is, if you were drinking and drugging for years, it takes time.
You can't expect to wander off deep in the woods for years and expect to find your way out in months.
Good for you, Jake! You're worth it!
100% weed makes quitting the booze and everything else way easier. Through behavior health and the internal family systems, my therapist talks firefighters. It’s the part of your personality that wants to extinguish any negative emotion as quickly as possible with an easy fix. Weed satisfies that firefighter but when it’s gone, that internal thought is going to go through the gambit of easy fixes. She suggests adding another solution to negative emotions such as working out when that strong urge comes up is key, also just know it will pass you make it through the initial urges
Because you have to find a happy medium and make as many meetings as you can because you going to hear things that will make you realize that other people have it worst then us and that makes grateful and we realize we’re not alone
