Day 3. I feel much better. I jst wish I could sleep at night and boy this night sweat is real!!! But I know is going to get better. Just for today I won’t drink!!

Congrats on day 3, each early day is a battle. We are all different and respond differently. I personally didn’t sleep right for 6 months. The sweats are real, the bottom of my feet would sweat just sitting on the couch. Never happened before or since, lasted a few weeks. If you are in distress, talk honestly with a doctor and follow their advice. If not, it takes time and it sucks. Ask for help, go to meetings, exercise.

And Mary, keep posting here, it helps. You are not alone.

Thank you skot!!! I sure will

I needed help to stop since it can be very dangerous but when I finally detoxed and slept soundly, it was the best ever!! Felt like I slept for a couple weeks straight. Haha . Man I remember that felt so good

I remember not being able to sleep for like a week or so. I had to be put on a sleeping med just until I got myself used to sleeping again

I highly suggest looking up Nicotinamide or Niacin for withdrawal side effects and sleep. It helps so much with mental and physical WD for me as well as the anxiety and insomnia.
I’m a health and natural remedy nerd.
I also suggest taking melatonin or Wulinshen (fungus similar to Cordyceps) for sleep. If melatonin has not worked for you in the past, as it had for me, it’s best to get the dissolvable tabs such as the ones from vitamin shoppe or natures source.. they work better and faster.
I also use a heating pad and gel ice packs for temperature comfort. Even a water bottle that is thrown in the freezer can keep me comfortable through a hot night.

And keep up the good work! :slightly_smiling_face:
