Day 4 I am so angry today. At my child, my laundry, my cough, my fatness, everything. I'm just so mad i could cry. My child is the one who suffers the most. I'm doing this in big part for her and I just yelled at her I feel so bad. Now I am crying. I need a shower and can't find a towel

Put down the bat and stop beating yourself up. You’re doing the best you can do. You’re working on it. You are aware of it. You are choosing to find alternative ways to handle things. It’s a process. Not drinking is a huge achievement. Give yourself a little credit. Give yourself a little compassion. Give yourself a little love

You can apologize to your child and tell them your sorry. You have to look for the things you're grateful for. You still have your child, you have a place to take a shower and you have 4 days sober. You can find more to be grateful for I'm sure if you choose to. You have to do this for yourself so you can be the best mother you can. You will have good days and bad days, that's just a part of life. But you don't have to go back to your worst days. You are trying hard and doing the best you can. Forgive yourself for your past and stay strong for your future.

Be gentle with yourself. Day 4 is a heck of an accomplishment! You are still detoxing and doing all the mom duties. I say you are winning if you didn’t pick up and only yelled. If you need to cry…do it! Get that out of your system, and so you can move forward. We all had to learn how to deal with the emotions and feelings we numbed for so long. I believe in you! You can do it.

Amber! Congrats on day 4! Keep your head up. Your emotions are running hot right now! How old is your daughter? Are you going to AA meetings? Take a deep breath 😮‍💨.
