Day 5 and if I don’t get some sleep soon

Day 5 and if I don’t get some sleep soon … really struggling with sleeping w/out alcohol or weed. Wait it out, take melatonin, any other suggestions?

My suggestion: don’t try and quit EVERYTHING at once. As in: getting sober is hard. So don’t try and stop melatonin at the same time. Use the OTC meds for a little bit until you can get to a place where you can only use natural meds (I consider melatonin totally safe and natural). There’s also a ton of good options for sleeping meds that are non-psychoactive and non-habit forming. You could speak to your doctor but in the meantime, I can say for me, a mix of melatonin/valerian root and maybe some 5HTP can give a great send off for a restful night’s sleep (and all of these I buy at the organic food store)

Tapering down is probably the best idea. The fact is, you can't control everything. If you can't sleep you can't sleep. Try to stay positive and don't hyperfocus on it. Then it will create more issues.
A medication might be a good idea for sure.
