I just got out of a 4 or 5 day detox from community north fairbanks Hospital that was the worst ever! Still am not feeling too good, probably bc the only reason i got released was bc i asked to stop at 2mg of suboxone rather than their way which would have had me locked up in that mental ward for up to 7 or 8 days! I signed in myself, could not sign myself out?!?! Thought i was going to a rehab from community east, not what happened. I just asked for help to detox off of heroin, it is hard doing it alone and without any meds, i did do exactly that though at a hospitsl!?!? No meds the first 3 days puking my guts up, then they want to very slowly put me on subutext .5mg plus morphine and gradually get up to 4mg by the end of the time they wanted me to stay. I thought it was a better idea if i said i wanted only 2mg of suboxone, it did work and i did finally leave that hole that same day! I did not get on any other meds for my bipolar or any of my mental health while there, it was a psych ward really.....do not recommend this place to anyone you care about please!
