Day one again

I’m struggling. I feel awful. I scared my only friend really bad. I keep pushing people away when they try to help and I’m afraid eventually she’s gonna give up on me too

The insanity of addiction. That demon wants you all to it’s self so it can destroy your life. There is an entire community out there waiting for you to reach out so they can help pull you out of the hole. All you need to do is show up and ask for it. Don’t let the demon win. You can recover!

I’ve been trying so hard. I’ve been committed twice this year, I know I shouldn’t drink on the medication I’m on, I was doing ok for a while but it all comes back. I’m on a work trip right now. I walked three miles at two in the morning just to get alcohol and I knew I shouldn’t be doing that, I hated every second of it but I did it anyway. It feels so hopeless

As I said.. it wants to destroy your life. You did something you didn’t want to do. Just a suggestion, next time try jumping on a zoom meeting. They take place 24/7. My sponsor told me very early in sobriety.. “don’t be where you don’t need to be” walking 3 miles to get booze gives you plenty of time to not be where you didn’t need to be. Good luck. I truly hope you find the peace and serenity you deserve.

Thank you. I should have been able to resist it. Hopefully this will be the last day one
