Remember ...your suave self while drinking is partly an illusion. Work through what would happen in the night after that first drink. I am reiterating this because you are starting right before a weekend. Weekends have always been the most tempting time for me to reinvigorate that "better self while drinking" personally. It's just a bullshite trick by the alcoholism. Good luck to you on this journey.

that’s the best way to get, and stay sober. Congratulations on making a choice to change and save your life! The grass truly is greener on this side of the disease!
