Big step. Be proud and remember be kind to yourself! :hugs:Easy done it. One day at a time.

Taking the first step isn't easy, you can do it. One day at a time, one moment at a time, do what works and helps you not pick up.

Just take it a day at a time or an hour and a time or a moment at a time commit yourself to not picking up a drink because you got to stay sober for a little while and good things will start to happen. I find it if I try to do the next right thing, everything else will fall into place.

Your on the hardest one, the next 10 will be tough. Right now just DO not pick up. Reach out to a recovery program of your choice and meet people that have gone through the same things. Your worth sobriety and you can do this

I have had 100 day ones. And now I’m coming up on day 1000. If I can do it you can too.

The thing I did differently this last time, was to admit that I could not fix myself. My ways did not work. I always went back to the bottle. So this time I asked for help. I went to a meeting. I have not touched a drop since.

You’ve got this! The first step is the hardest but remind yourself of why you’ve made this decision. Take it easy on yourself, breathe. You can do this

Congratulations! You are worth it and you deserve to be happy and free. You can do this.

Start journaling immediately I wish I started when I quit. it helps get the thoughts out. you need to write and affirm that you don’t need it that you want to be happy and healthy.

I know I'm like a broken record on here about recommending medical detox to get through the first 3-4 days. Such facilities are everywhere and I wouldn't do it any other way anymore :+1:. Just food for thought. Strength and love.

Yea first 3-4 days are very hard because you are irritable. Once you get over that hump it gets easier somewhat. I take it one week at a time. Instead of daily choosing 6 days. Then only doing it 5. Then 4. Then 3. Etc You get the point. Small goals. Eventually you won’t even want it anymore and will really enjoy the clarity. Yes you will have emotions arise but it’s ok to feel them and necessary. Just reach out when you need to talk. Someone is always there we don’t have to do this alone !
