When does it end?
You can do this!!! Just stay positive b
That depends on what you are asking about? Just remember it can’t rain all the time.
Depending on lots of things, I found for me it doesn’t end. 3+ years in, grateful to be sober but always an alcoholic
Just try to remember this…2 days is a HUGE accomplishment. If you can make it 2 days, you can make it 3, then 4, and before you know it, a week or more. Think of it as a game and challenge yourself
Day one.
Day 2 is huge!! Congrats. Keep the ball rolling
Savor every second for one day you will have the opportunity to be grateful for what your going through. I trembled, sweated profusely, didn’t sleep for days, messed my pants three times, dry heaved. And I’m so grateful I have a great life now and never have to go through it again unless I make the choice too. I’m grateful for my detox and is a part of my story to help others. That’s the long answer short answer is 10 days 4-5 being the worst
Day 2 going on THREE!! You're doing this!
It never ends it just keeps getting better!
I suppose it depends on what you mean?
When does recovery end?
For me, it doesn’t.
When does the misery of being active in my addiction end?
From the day I decided I was done living in misery and each day after as long as I commit to staying sober today.
When I stopped drinking that’s all I wanted. To live my life the same as ever, but without alcohol. So that’s what I did. And along the way people made some suggestions to try other things that had made their lives better once the alcohol was gone. And over time I tried a lot of these suggestions, and I’ll be damned if life didn’t keep getting better.
In the beginning my goal was to be able to go to bars and not drink. 2 years later I question why I would ever need a bar.
Recovery is a process. A journey. And there is no clear destination but there is progress every day.
Thanks for all of the kind words.
Just keep coming back and don’t give up!! The support is here bro!
It gets better just take it minute by minute hour by hour and then day by day … the days become weeks that becomes months that turns into years… just focus on the hours and the years will take care of themselves.. that’s what works for me.. kinda like money
… focus on the change and the dollar’s take care of themselves..,
