That sounds rough. You will find a good group here. I also find that listening to Recovery Elevator Podcast. In the car and reading books about sobriety, and related movies. Some people find AA helpful. Glad you are here with us.
Ouch! Been there, not happy memories for me. Lots and lots of water, no alcohol of course. It gets better, I did it three times before I learned. Youve got all the support you could want right here.
Thank you, Lawrence. I guess I didn’t think I drank enough to get an alcohol related illness. I just kept putting it down to stress. My physician all but ignored my diagnosis making me feel like she thought it was my fault. A very lonely experience. Thanks for your suggestion.
Doctors dont get it, that why there's places like this where we can get the support of people who understand.
I think my husband and I have pulled back from people, or they from us. We are committed to work on some “lifestyle changes”, which we know means sans alcohol. I’m sure I’m not ready for the group thing but could use some lady friends. Thank you so much for the encouragement! Have a really wonderful Christmas.
