Dealing with the emotions of coming off.
Hi Karen, I had a lot of emotions that flooded in after I got sober. I tried my best to stay busy and/or keep my mind occupied. I have also worked a lot on changing the way I think. If negative, toxic thoughts come up and I try to change them. I use prayer for this sometimes. The serenity prayer or something simple. When I thought about the ex I prayed for her to have peace and happiness with or without me. At times I repeated it often. And a lot of times I didn’t mean it. But it helped. Stay strong.
Hi Karen, please get to some meetings and plug into a sober group of some kind, so you have some in real life support.

Karen, early in my sobriety I had to stay very close to the sober community, 3 meetings daily. Early morning and every night for sure.
