Why do I put these two together?
Are they the same?
Why sometimes, when I struggle, I stew in the misery of everything that’s bad too?
Not having a good day.
Thanks for letting me share.

Hang in there. You are cared for❤️
My two cents: struggling is more open-ended than misery. We struggle throughout life on challenges big and small—but there is always hope that we can overcome the obstacle. It’s not easy, but you can find a glimmer of hope in a struggle if you look hard enough.
Misery is more of an end result, perhaps when we do not overcome obstacles and face whatever lies ahead. It is far less hopeful and simply just is.
Those in recovery are struggling with a challenge, but our struggle can lead to a happier, more fulfilled life—and many times it does (our higher power never gives us more than we can handle).
It might be a small challenge in and of itself, but try not to dwell on misery! There is so much to be grateful for. And when the struggling seems like it’s leading towards misery it might be hard to see that gratitude, but it’s there. We do not need to ever feel like misery is our only option—take the struggle day by day, minute by minute, and try and focus on your ability to overcome the struggle, not in misery. You got this!!!
