Despite health complications, financial instability and legal affairs, I’m beyond grateful to wake up knowing I’m actively curating a life that feels authentic to me. I’m 9 almost 10 months sober, I’ve been bodybuilding and boxing for nearly a year, I’ve been volunteering and officialised as advocates of the organisations I volunteer with for nearly a year, and overall have continually received an influx of opportunities in relation to community aid, recovery and making a positive change. I love knowing that I’m changing others’ lives for the better while rebuilding my own and that’s what keeps me motivated. Even experiencing the hardships I am, having the ability to lessen others struggle throughout my own makes me so much happier than I can put into words and I wouldn’t trade this euphoria for the world.
